(Mara Lavitt — New Haven Register)
July 5, 2014 New Haven
Danielle Taft was seven months old when she was killed by a bullet sprayed into her home on Orchard St. on Feb. 3, 1994. A memorial celebration in her honor was held next to her former home on the day of what would have been her 21st birthday. Bishop Theodore Brooks of Beulah Heights Pentecostal Church, Danielle's mother Shirley Troutman and cousin Angel Ogman, all of New Haven, watch as balloons are released.
