The eighth FeatherFest was held in Middletown by the Connecticut Parrot Society providing visitors with education about parrots and other birds. Caitlin Keane of Manchester with her eclectus parrot Simon, left, and Ava at right who belongs to Peter Lombardo of Rocky Hill. Ecelctus males are green, females are red. Keane fosters for the CT Parrot Society and has placed 14 parrots. Keane adopted Simon who came to her a year and a half ago when his owner died.
