The eighth FeatherFest was held in Middletown by the Connecticut Parrot Society providing visitors with education about parrots and other birds. Jessica El-Beck of Meriden with her white-bellied caique named Zeke. El-Beck adopted Zeke through the CT Parrot Society's adoption program. "I have a tattoo of Zeke on my leg. He's holding a banner that says 'Adopt'".
